Pat Kriener
Herbalist & Historical Interpreter
Garden Tour or PowerPoint depending on the weather
Pat Kriener lives on a 2 acre mini-farm called Wildwood Cottage where she gardens & raises multiple critters. She has had an almost 25 year professional adventure in Gardening & Herbalism, earning multiple certifications along the way. For the past several years she has been working as an Historical Interpreter. During this time she has researched, installed & demonstrated the historical uses of plants by Native Americans & Texas Pioneers. In 2014 she started working at the Big Bear Native American Museum as a Historical Interpreter/Education Coordinator. She has turned her eye to develop Tantanka's Garden as a teaching garden that focuses on the Native American use of plants. Pat loves to share her experiences as an educator for adult & children's programs on multiple topics. Her best advice for anyone who wants to learn about gardening or herbalism is to develop a sense of humor & an appreciation for the quirkiness of the Natural World.
